Who We Are

We are a full-service Health and Wellness Consulting,
Sports Conditioning, and Personal Training Company.  
Our owner, LaRue Cook, is a 15 year veteran of the fitness
industry. LaRue is a nationally recognized expert in the
fields of exercise and fitness, and has written a number of
articles on the subject. He serves as a Sport Science and
Instructional Writer for Tennis Life Magazine, and a
Sports Conditioning expert writer for Women's Basketball
Magazine. He has also contributed articles on women's
health and fitness issues, general exercise, and weight
loss, to a number of online publications.  In 2004, LaRue
was selected to serve on the National Board of Fitness
Examiner, Board of Examiners; one of only two Certified
Personal Trainers selected for this important mission.

LaRue is also a Level 1 Coach with the USA Track and
Field, and a Developmental Coach with the United States
Professional Tennis Association.

Our Mission

Put simply, here is what we do:

We prepare the non-athlete for the physical challenges
of
EVERYDAY LIFE!  Whether you're interested in
losing body fat and weight to improve your health; a
beginner looking to start on the road to health and
fitness; wanting to start a new exercise program to help
stave-off health conditions such as osteoporosis, or
simply want to recharge your existing exercise routine;
AND

We prepare all levels of
athletes (Juniors, High School
or Adults) for the physical challenges of their
SPORT
and help them become the best player that they can be!
Basketball, Tennis, Baseball, Golf, Soccer, or whatever
your sport - getting into shape to play can make you a
better athlete and reduce your risk for injury.  WE CAN
HELP YOU!

How do we do this?

We accomplish these missions by giving each person
individual attention!  Whether we're working with an
individual, partners, or small groups, our mission is to
help you learn to help yourself, and to find YOUR  
individual balance in the five major components of fitness.
 These five components are:  muscular strength, muscular
endurance, cardiovascular conditioning, body
composition, and flexibility, and they define true "fitness."
 We believe that in sport, and in life, each of us needs
these five attributes in varying degrees, so we give each of
our clients the personal attention that they need to
address their particular strengths and weaknesses.  We
pay attention to the details in preparing you to be the best
that you can be for your
sport, or for life!
